Prairie View Mental Health Center has opened an out-patient treatment clinic at St. Luke Hospital. The local office will be open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon. Service will be inquiry, evaluation, and outpatient.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Flint, formerly of Wichita, have purchased the paint and wallpaper shop in Marion that has been owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stack.
The extended care wing at St. Luke Hospital will be phased out over the next six months. The hospital board is anticipating another physician coming to Marion soon, and expects the extended care wing beds will need to be utilized for acute care patients.
Cottonwood Valley League coaches picked their mythical teams Friday night. The nine Warriors selected included Doug Helmer, Ron Weber, Bob Hett, Dan Ludwig, Greg Regier, Eldon Hett, Jim Bredemeier, Brad Heerey, and Tim Zerger.
