Edwin Harder this week incorporated his Harder Metal Products Company and took in three new partners. They are Allen Liefer of Red Oak., Ill., Ralph Klein and Gilbert Loewen of rural Peabody. Klein and Loewen will be co-managers of the plant south of Aulne.

Mayor Jack Regnier crowned the Valentine’s Day king and queen at Mid-America Nursing Center of Marion on Friday. The queen selected was Matie Harrison, Marion County’s oldest citizen at 108. Clarence Overstreet received the most votes in the competition for king.

The Steve Krispense family of Marion was selected as first runner-up in the Star Kansas Young Farm Family contest at the 1975 Young Farmers and Young Farm Wives meeting held Saturday in Wichita. First place winner was the Vernon Egbert family of McCune.

Lisa Brose was crowned Queen of Courts at the 1975 Marion High School homecoming Friday, held appropriately on Valentine’s Day. Her attendants were Teresa Costello and Teri Willingham. Escorts were Ron Weber, Bob Hett, and Pat Kelly.
