There was a big turnout of eager buyers at the second annual Chat and Dine Club-sponsored Arts and Crafts Fair held Saturday at the Marion County Lake Hall. The club intends to again purchase some item of equipment for St. Luke Hospital with their net proceeds.

Three candidates for Marion High School football homecoming queen this year are Cindy Harris, Teri Robinson, and Julie Zerger. All three girls are seniors and active in numerous school activities.

This week’s Personality Profile features Earl Wineinger, high school vocational agriculture instructor for the Marion-Florence school district since 1974.

Delmer Palmer, Marion County undersheriff, was honored Thursday afternoon with a retirement party in the basement of Marion County Courthouse. All courthouse employees were invited.

Alan Bina and Monica Klenda were named the 1976 Homecoming King and Queen Friday evening at Centre High School. Little helpers for the evening were William Benda, Cathy Fisher, Robert McDonald, Karen Vinduska, Shelly Wirtz, Amy Brunner, Tondalayo Frantz, Sean Gillett, Robyn Makovec, and David Schneider.

The bronze marker designating the Marion County Courthouse as being listed on the National Register of Historic Place was mounted this past week on a stone in the west lawn.
