Only a small turnout was recorded at the polls Tuesday when Marion voters approved community antenna television, or cable TV. The final tabulation was 146 yes and 87 no votes.
The amount of prizes has taken a big jump, with some highly attractive gift certificates to be awarded this Saturday when the drawing is held in all Marion stores that are open at 7:30 p.m. First prize will be worth $150, second $100, and third $30. Last Saturday night the following names were drawn: Dorothy Kohls, first, Lester A. Buenning, second, and Lena Hett, third.

Shad Winter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Winter, celebrated his third birthday Nov. 30 when several friends came to his home in the morning for fun and snacks. Those present were Kristy Herbel, Dana Spencer, and Sheldon Bina. Birthday cake and ice cream were served in the evening to his grandparents, other relatives, and friends.
