Cheryl Robinson was crowned Marion High School’s “Queen of Courts” Friday night at the Marion vs. Chase County basketball game. Her attendants were Judy Tajchman and Crystal Kerbs.

Jamie Richmond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Richmond of Marion, will receive a certificate of merit for having one of 30 sculptures accepted in the junior high division of the Kansas Regional Scholastics Art Exhibition.
Rhonda Richmond of Marion is the new owner of the Hitching Post, located at 407 East Main in Marion. She purchased the business from Barbara Hunt and Loretta Monroe.
Scott Miesse, Marion High School junior and a teaching assistant for a “Principles of Farm Power Maintenance” class is pictured as he uses a torch to cut metal. This is one of many pieces of equipment used by FFA and vocational agriculture students almost daily.
John Popp served as a congressional intern in the office of Senator Bob Dole during the month of January. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Popp, he is a graduate of Marion High School and a student at Tabor College, Hillsboro.
