JoAnn Knak, a 10-year veteran volunteer on the Hillsboro-based Marion County ambulance crew, was named director for the Marion County Ambulance Service Monday by the board of county commissioners.
The storm and high winds that hit Marion and devastated other Kansas towns early Monday morning caused moderate damage in Marion. Some of the most extensive damage in Marion was at Marion Country Inn where a carport was demolished by wind. Residents in the Tampa area report more property damage than in Marion.
The new medical clinic building will be completed July 20 and the name selected for it is St. Luke Medical Clinic. Dr. Jeff Martin, board certified family practice physician, and Dr. David Jensen, dentist, will move into the building as soon as it is completed.
Kiwanians watch as individual steaks are being cooked to perfection in East Park Thursday evening during the club’s annual outing.
