Social events printed this week include two bridal showers. Norma Kline, Barbara Abbott, Shirley Carlson, Mary Smith, Suzanne Thole, Mary Ann Wiens and Sylvia Helmer were hosts at a “come and go” shower for Karen Klein, bride-elect of Mike Regier. Hosts for a miscellaneous shower complimenting Ann Bryant, fiancée of Pat Carr were Pauline Edmunds, Shirley Jo Hett, Mary Longhofer, Phyllis Melton, and Margaret Wilson.

Marilee McGinness, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed McGinness of Marion, graduated Sunday from the Oral Roberts University School of Medicine with a doctor of medicine degree. She is a 1972 graduate of Marion High School.
