Marion Motor Center, which sells Mercury Cougar automobiles, will have a display of live cougars for public viewing this Thursday. The cougars also will be taken to area elementary schools for demonstrations in front of students.

This week’s Personality Profile portrays the life of Edna Rupp, whose first employer was Dr. George Goodsheller. She also worked in the offices of Dr. R.C. Smith and Dr. R.R. Melton in Marion and for many years took care children of affluent parents in Wichita.

Dale Miller, 75, highly popular and successful football coach at Marion High School for 13 years during the 30s and early 40s, died Sunday. While at Marion, he was a history teacher and high school principal. His football teams won league and regional championships.

Don Ratzlaff of Hillsboro, owner of Don’s Studio and Gallery, had three photographs accepted for exhibition at the Professional Photographers convention in Oklahoma City last week. One photo was of Wendy Lange and her horse, the other of Tracy Ratzlaff, daughter of Jim and Cheryl Razlaff.

Jerry Winkley and Ron Wineinger were top winners in a recent Future Farmers of America speech contest.

Daniel F. Holub, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest F. Holub of rural Marion has been commissioned to his present rank of Ensign while serving with Attack Squadron 94, based at Naval Air Station, Lemoore, Calif.
