The Marion County Historical Society has undertaken the project of bringing up to date the book containing photographs of former county officials. The book will be on display in the lobby of the courthouse.

The names of six vocal music students from Marion High School will be included in the 1978-79 edition of Who’s Who in Music, according to Jeff Brewer, vocal music director. The students are Laurie Laubhan, Janelle Bowers, Donita Makovec, Bill Hoch, Doug Heerey, and Jay Smith.

Staff writer Pam Vinduska writes this week about Richard Forsberg of Burdick, who took over writing the Burdick news from his mother, Mrs. A.W. Forsberg, who was the previous correspondent “for quite a few years.”
