Third generation optometrist Caleb Abbott of Marion is the subject of this week’s Personality Profile. Abbott opened his practice in Marion in September, 1969.

Boy Scout Troop 102 spent four days camping last week on a ranch near Castle Rock, Colorado. Scouts attending were Danny Annis, Jeff Conyers, Monte Dalke, Jeff Harris, Danny Horsch, Mike and Tim Jordan, Julian Seaman, and Miles Zeller.

Luci Helmer is pictured with a display of her wheat weavings that were judged Saturday as the best entries in the crafts division of an arts and craft exhibit in Central Park.
