Women representing federated clubs of Marion gathered recently at Farmers and Drovers National Bank to make a deposit in an account to finance drilling a well and constructing an underground watering system in East Park.

Marion’s Gerry Harris has established a good name for himself as one of the most proficient basketball officials in Kansas. This week he will work the 5A tournament at Emporia. On March 29, he will be working the national women’s junior college all-star game in Hutchinson.
Doug Marler was the winner Monday morning of a $250 gift certificate from Wylies of Hutchinson when he solved an Ellery Queen mystery on radio station KSKU-FM.
