Old-fashioned but brand-new ceiling fans are being installed in the auditorium at Marion Municipal Building. Two fans will be suspended from the ceiling in the main auditorium to bring hot air down, making the large room easier to heat more economically.

Kansas Attorney General Bob Stephan was keynote speaker at a GOP soup supper and auction Thursday at Valley United Methodist Church.

Kansas Information Network radio stations have named Greg Boyle, Marion High School senior, most outstanding football player in the Kansas Central District for his performance Oct. 3 against Herington. Boyle scored three touchdowns, three field goals, and four extra points.
