Cellophane-wrapped packages of Marion Old Settlers Centennial stationery are now available at many Marion stores, as well as the Centennial Headquarters at 318 Main.
Two Marion businesses will move to new locations in the near future. Keller Refrigeration and Marion TV and Electric have leased the Thies building at the Corner of Cedar and Main streets. Their present downtown location in the Case building will then be occupied by the Owl Car Café.
The formal grand opening of the Del Mar Café under new management will be held Friday of this week, according to Alice Seibel, proprietor.
The annual Williams family reunion was held at the Marion Country Club on June 11. Over 100 members of the family registered.
A dream of long standing for people living along the Strassburg road is finally becoming a reality this week with the oiling of the road from the highway to the Strassburg cemetery, a stretch of four miles.
Al and Dan’s Quality Food Market has added a new service this week and will now provide barbecued foods. The foods will include ribs, chicken, hamburger and other items barbecued and “ready to eat.”
Marion County Sheriff Earl Pankratz is in Little Rock, Ark., this week attending sessions of the National Peace Officers Association convention.
