Pictured on the front page is Little Miss 1965. She is Arlene Rose Becker, first child of Mr. and Mrs. Galen R. Becker of Burns, who was born January 2, weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces. Also pictured are the last four “first Babies at St. Luke.” They are Miss 1964 Melissa Robinson, Miss 1963 Lanell Marie Tajchman, Miss 1962 Lynley Sue Gutsch, and Master 1961 Gary Michael Hedrick.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Keazer of Marion announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen, to John L. Kline, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kline, also of Marion. A spring wedding is planned by the couple.
Sister Mary Scholasica, R.N. anesthetist at St. Luke Hospital, was injured about 8:15 p.m. Sunday by a ricocheting slug from a rifle shot fired somewhere in the vicinity of the hospital.
Members of the 1952 graduating class of Marion High School gathered in the basement of Our Savior Lutheran Church Dec. 26 for their fourth reunion.
A birthday supper for Dennis Bernhardt of Marion was held Wednesday evening at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Weathers of Lincolnville. The dinner was in honor of his second birthday.
