Connie Jost was crowned Queen of Courts Friday night at the basketball homecoming activities. She was escorted by Gene Schimpf. Attendants Barbara Christensen and Becky Berry were escorted by Richard Soyez and Larry Ensey. Judy Broadstreet, 1964 Queen of Courts, was escorted by Don Westerhaus.

Mrs. Bob Mathiot provided background music for the premiere of the new Emmons Jewelry in Wichita last Monday evening. She also accompanied several vocalists.

David Goertz, 16-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Goertz of Marion, combined skill, alertness, and good luck to become one of the winners in the “4-H Catch-It-Calf” contest at the National Western Livestock show in Denver last weekend.

Everett Burkhead received the $50 first prize at Wednesday’s Cash Day Drawing. Ralph Klein of Peabody received $5, Mrs. Raymond Kraus of Marion missed $5, Albert C. Uphoff of Florence missed $15, and G.R. Holmes of Marion missed $20.

The Aulne bowling team and their wives enjoyed supper at the Ramada Inn, Newton, Saturday evening before going bowling. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pankratz, Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Williams, and Mr and Mrs. Robert Richmond.
