Marion’s new athletic stadium is taking shape fast. A photo on page one shows excavation and shaping of the running track that will circle the football field. Tall supports in the foreground show pre-stressed concrete columns that will support the concrete seating for about 1,200 spectators. Also, the old lights and poles are down and new poles are erected for lighting.

The were: fourth grade, Darryl Ehrlich, Ronald Weber, Ronald Bezdek, and Pat Kjellin; grade five, Doug Helmer, Debbie Enos, Becky Wood, Janet Ehrlich, and Melody Meier; sixth grade, Teresa Case and Daryl Enos; eighth grade, Janet Hanson.
