Fluoridation of the public water supply in Marion, a project long sought by numerous clubs, groups, and individuals in the city as a dental health measure, is now an accomplished fact.
Marion County’s steadily expanding oil fields are fast becoming a major factor in the source of property tax valuation and income. Yes, the “black gold” that flows in an increasing stream from Marion County is welcome indeed.
A new farmers cooperative grain producers association is in the making for the Marion vicinity, and a public organizational meeting date has been set for January 31.

Tom Hett of Hett’s Implement, Marion County John Deere dealers in Marion and Hillsboro, has announced that his company was the successful bidder for the purchase of the former state highway shops located on the south hill. The shops were formerly used by the highway department prior to their moving into the new location a mile north of Marion.
