Three teenage boys, inmates at the Marion County Jail, overpowered their jailer Monday afternoon and broke out of jail to limited freedom for a few short hours.

Officers traced the boys to a field just east of the Art Dieter home at the southeast edge of town and took them into custody about 7:30 p.m. The three are back in jail, arraigned again, this time with the addition of a jail-breaking charge.
