Winners in the home decoration contest for outdoor Christmas lighting were announced this week by the Chamber of Commerce. First prize of $10 went to Stanley Anderson; second prize, $7.50, to Wilbur Razor; and third prize of $5 went to Glen Kline.

Another step toward school unification was taken Monday when patrons of the Durham community schools voted in favor of joining Hillsboro.

A touch football game over the weekend had those who witnessed it say they would never forget it and those who played in it say they would just as soon they did.

Seven states were represented by these players, college students who were here for the holidays: Lowell Ensey, Ron Oelschlager, Jim Christensen, John Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gilbert, Maurice Just, Capt. Woody Martin, Miss Lou Wheeler, and Miss Karlet Kight.

First place winner in the Records’ gift subscription contest is Joe Tajchman of Lincolnville. Mrs. Tajchman chose a new Underwood Olivetti portable typewriter as their prize.
