Marion’s brand new Municipal Water Plant will open its doors Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. in an official “Open House” to the public.

Roger H. Morse and Dean C. Batt have announced this week the formation of a partnership for the general practice of law. Both men were born and raised in the Marion community and are active in church and civic affairs.

Marion County Commissioners H.L. Hiebert, Ed W. Navrat, and O.F. Herbert, with County Engineer James Meisner, went to Tulsa Wednesday for the opening of bids covering the second large major contract for construction of the Marion Dam and Reservoir.

Mrs. William Carr, Marion, received $200 in this week’s Cash Days drawing. Verna Orth of Tampa missed $5, Harriett Atkinson, Marion, missed $5, Paul E. Williams, Marion, received $5, and Mrs. Glen Conyers, Marion, received $15.

Mrs. Carl Gutsch of Lincolnville, Mrs. Irvin Good, Peabody, Mrs. Irvin Guiney, Burns, and Mrs. Lou Vinduska, Marion, are pictured as Marion County Home Demonstration Unit members visited the Bond Bread bakery in Wichita Tuesday.
