The best news that this area has heard in many months came with the announcement this week that the Community Hospital definitely will be built in the near future. It has been revealed that the hospital association has received assurances of Bishop Mark A. Carroll and the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood that they are prepared to proceed.

The Marion Library Board has recently completed an especially interesting and valuable addition to its historical files in the form of a scrapbook containing many of the articles written over a period of many years by Mrs. T.B. Matlock. This volume makes engrossing reading for anyone interested in the history of this area.

Mrs. Edith Collett entertained Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hayen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Collett and family at dinner Sunday. It was a sort of farewell for Marilyn Hayen who left Monday morning for Westmar College at LeMars, Iowa.

New car deliveries the past week by the Paul Seifert Motor Company include Chevrolet 2-ton truck to H.M. Hauser; Chevrolet Styleline deluxe 4-door sedan to Donald Dunn; and a Chevrolet Fleetline deluxe 2-door sedan to Carl Winter.
