Patrons and landowners of Bethel School District No. 8, in the northeastern part of Marion County, voted unanimously Monday night to disorganize the district, which has been closed the past two years. Most of the land will be added to the Lincolnville district and some to the Burdick district.
James Harry Koslowsky, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Koslowsky, will celebrate his fourth birthday March 30 with an appearance on TV. He will be a guest of Cowboy Frank on Channel 12 at 4 p.m.
Marion City Teachers Association sponsored the March 27 yearly conference of the Kansas State Teachers Association. The evening meal was prepared by Mrs. Skibbe and staff and was served by five members of Mrs. Ferrell’s homemaking class: Sherry Knoblock, Becky Berry, Margaret Weber, Linda Bauman, and Melody Thompson.
Art Jantz and Dan Pankratz will again be a part of the chorus for the world-famous Lindsborg Messiah presentation. There will be four performances this year.
Gary Weber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Weber, is spending a three-week leave from the Army with his parents. Gary, Thad Meierhoff, and Laddie Helmer left Tuesday morning for a sightseeing trip in Colorado.
Janet Ann Stiller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Stiller, and Richard Leroy Vogel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Vogel, were married March 18 at the Marion Evangelical United Brethren Church with the Rev. G. Carol Gilbert officiating.
