Country music, more popular now than ever, will be featured at Old Settlers Day this year when the national Fiddlers, Pickers, and Singers Association puts on a program in Marion’s Central Park. Old Settlers Day is being scheduled on Saturday this year so more people may attend. The change has been requested for some time.
Grand champion winners in this year’s annual 4-H Style Revue at Marion County Fair are Carmen Hayen with runner-up Kris Reid of Florence and Leslie Lalouette of Florence with runner-up Ronald Duerksen of Lehigh.
The quiet little town of Ramona had a day of excitement Tuesday when it was descended upon by hundreds of antique seekers responding to advertising of an unusual partition sale of the Lewis estate.
