Memorial and burial services will be held in Tampa this Saturday for Pvt. Arthur W. Crandall, who was killed in action May 20, 1944, on New Guinea. Pvt. Crandall was the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.S. Crandall, long time Tampa residents.

The cast of “You Can’t Take It With You” has been announced by Mrs. Ethel Gardner Dale, director of the Civic Theatre play. Parts will be played by Richard Brodhead, Vashti Loney, Charles and Margaret Davis, George H. DeBoer, Arline Irwin, Paul Hansen, Jack Barrett, Bertha Mathiot, Max Dunn, Viola Kelsey, Joan Wight, Jerry Heath, Ed Stocking, Monette Avery, Keith Kelsey, and Bill Meyer.

Mrs. Fred Hayen honored her son, Jan, Saturday with a party for his fifth birthday. Guests were Dennis Schroeder, Bill Olsen, Tommy Good, Dickie Wayne Varenhorst, and Mary Sue Reh. Nancy Faye Allen, Marilyn Reh, and Donna Clair Miesse assisted Mrs. Hayen with the games that were played.

Marion Pharmacy, under the ownership of Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Phillips, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this week. Along with Rexall’s 46th anniversary, they are offering a number of special items in observance of the event.

A review of Marion County’s early history, ably presented by Mrs. R.R. Melton, thoroughly pleased members of Athena Study Club at their regular meeting Tuesday.
