Edward J. Costello, who was born and raised in the Tampa community, returned to Marion County last week to open an office and enter into the practice of law. His office is located in the Wheeler building at the corner of Third and Main, Marion. Mr. and Mrs. Costello are living at Mrs. Bert McCullough’s residence on Elm Street.
A group of Marion High School students will present a version of their contest one-act play, “Fixers, Inc.” over station KSAC, Manhattan next Tuesday. The play cast includes Bob Klein, Donna Hobein, Bud Hannaford, Pat Brose, Mary Heath and Kenneth Sly.
An almost statewide epidemic of “old fashioned red measles” was picking up speed in Marion County this week. Twenty-one new cases have been reported to Dr O.C. McCandless, county health office, in the first three days of this week.
Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Green of Williamsburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Sue, to Boyd V. Higgins Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Higgins, Marion. The wedding will take place April 13.
Mrs. D.B. Jantz honored her son, Myron, with a birthday supper last Friday evening to celebrate his 14th birthday. After supper, the boys formed a line party to the show. Those enjoying the occasion were Myron, David W. Wheeler Jr., Michael Brodhead, John Childs, Larry and Howard Johnson and Marvin Wunsch.
