Entries already received to the annual Hereford Show planned for this Saturday at the Chamber of Commerce lot at the corner of Santa Fe and N. 1st are from O.J. Shields, Lost Springs; Harrison Koop, Hillsboro; Cecil Medley and Fred Dahlinger, Tampa; and Harold Hauser, Melton and Hett, and Phillips and Jost, Marion.

Johnny Christensen celebrated his sixth birthday with a party Tuesday afternoon after school. Guests were Joel Newlon, Gerald Kelsey, Ronnie Prieb, Jerry Schwemmer, Gailen Broadstreet, Johnnie Russell, James Melton, Tommy Good, and Stephen Seaton.

Marion friends are welcoming a new “butcher” to town this week. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sandwell are the happy parents of a son, John Robert, born Easter Sunday, April 17, at the Marion hospital.

Two new improvements added to the business district give the town a more pleasing appearance to the eye. There is a new sign above the entrance to Meier Shoe Clinic and a new awning on the Case building over the storefronts of the Rainbow Cafe and Henry Shoe Service.
