Another fine city improvement is underway this week with the rocking of approximately 25 blocks of alleys throughout the town. Most of the work is being done on the hill in alleys along the route of the city sanitary service truck.
Schroeder Produce and Oil Company will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the business in Marion Oct. 1 by holding an open house at their new building just north of the Marion Street Bridge at the corner of Main and Fifth Sts.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bartel have leased the Conoco service station at the corner of East Main and Freeborn from Henry Metzler, it was announced this week.

Cecil Rotz, manager and owner of Rotz Furniture stores in Marion and Florence, announced this week that he would close his Marion business.
