Hundred of loads of rocky dirt from Riddle Quarries have been dumped into the ravine on the north side of Main Street between McKibbin’s Cabinet Shop and Dr. C.R. Magee’s office. The fill will make a decided improvement and will make a valuable business site as it is directly across the street from the city park.

In a lengthy award session at Marion High School May 17 Kathryn Popp was recognized as valedictorian of the class of 1950 and Max Merrill was honored with the Balfour Award.
