Class of 1946
The class of 1946 will celebrate its 65th class reunion.
They will meet at Zimmerman’s 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the Old Settlers’ Day parade and then they will gather in the park in the afternoon. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. at Eastmoor United Methodist church.

Class of 1951
The class of 1951 will celebrate its 60th class reunion.
At 9 a.m. Saturday rolls and coffee will be served at the VFW. The Old Settlers’ Day parade will follow from 10:30 to 11 a.m.
At noon, class members may eat lunch at the VFW or at Marion Central Park
Class members will meet at 2 p.m. at the gazebo in Central Park for class recognition by Bob Kline, class president.
Dinner will be 5:30 p.m. at the VFW.
Class of 1956
The class of 1956 will be celebrating its 55th class reunion. Many spouses will join the class in the various activities. They plan to eat at Country Lakes Café on Thursday at 6 p.m. then visit for the evening at the home of Vernon and Arlene Bowers.
Friday evening at 6 p.m. they will eat together at Joyce Barkman’s Milk & Honey B&B and visit for several hours.
Saturday will begin with a brunch at 8:30 a.m. at the Elgin Hotel then ride the trolley in the Old Settlers’ Day parade at 11 a.m. For lunch after the parade, some classmates will be eating in the park and some in a downtown café. At 2 p.m. the class will join other reunion classes for introductions at the gazebo in Central Park. Then there is time for more visiting or for touring places of interest in Marion.
Meet at 5 p.m. at the Elgin for class pictures then a dinner and meeting at 6 p.m. will follow.
An open invitation is for those who would like to attend a church service together on Sunday morning then meet for lunch.
Class of 1961
The class of 1961 will celebrate its 50th class reunion. Friday, the class will gather at the home of Bud and Tress Kelsey, 400 Willard, Marion, at 7 p.m. Class members are asked to bring snacks, if convenient, for the casual evening of conversation. Drinks will be provided.
The class will gather Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the staging area for the parade, which starts at 11 a.m. Members are asked to wear their red class T-shirt. Lunch will be in Central Park. The Class of ‘61 will be introduced at the afternoon program.
Saturday evening the dinner will be at Doyle Creek Corral in Florence. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. A social time will be at 6 p.m. A class picture will be taken and will be available at a later date.

Class of 1971
The class of 1971 will celebrate their 40th class reunion. They are planning a dinner for Friday. It will be at Doyle Creek Mercantile in Florence, 510 Main St. Social hour begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cash bar and then dinner at 7 p.m. The class will have the dining room until 10 p.m. The cost is $20 per person.
Class members planning to ride on the trailer in the parade will meet at 10 a.m. in the valley.
Class of 1981
Tammy (Sandwell) Snelling has graciously agreed to host a potluck dinner at her home, located at 508 Walnut St. in Marion. The cost of the event will be $10 per person, children 5 and under are $5.
Pulled pork will be featured as the main dish. Each person/family is requested to bring a side dish or dessert. Tableware will be provided. Tea and water will also be furnished. Class members may bring their own choice of beverage as well.
The evening will begin with a social at 5:30 p.m., followed by the potluck dinner at 6:30.
Saturday at 10:30 a.m. meet at the Class of ‘81 float on Walnut Street, Marion, for the 11a.m. parade.
Some classmates will be participating in the Marion Country Club Old Settlers’ Day Golf Tournament on Friday.
