MHS to sing songs from musical

Marion Senior Center correspondent

Marion Senior Center hosted the senior citizens of Marion County annual meeting Oct. 20, with 151 reservations for the noon meal. The senior center will have the guidelines for the University of Kansas Medical Center Annual Photography contest, open to professional and amateur photographers. First place is $350. Photo must include at least one person 60 years or older.

The senior center completed a Halloween menu contest, changing food names to more ghoulish ones.

The puzzle guys have started a mystery jigsaw puzzle.

Tea towels are now ready to be embroidered.

The center used orange placemats with pumpkins decorated by Barbara Abbott. She provides different ones each month.

The center hosted a presentation Oct. 26 by Joseph Guillery of LL Insurance and Investments in Salina. Winner of the cookbook he brought was Raymond Koegebehn.

The senior center invites residents to listen to Marion High School cast members at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 9 sing some the songs of their upcoming musical, Cinderella.
