Michael Wheeler

Former Marion resident Michael David Wheeler, 44, died July 31.

He was born April 29, 1969, in Wichita, and was adopted by David and Charla Wheeler 16 days later. He graduated from Marion High School in 1987. He served in the Kansas Air National Guard at McConnell Air Base in Wichita before completing his education at Friends University.

He worked at Radio Shack and managed stores in Hays, Hutchinson, Wichita, and Newton.

He married Jody Jacobson on Sept. 7, 1997. They had a daughter, Tristin Brianna Wheeler.

He is survived by Charla Wheeler; Tristin Brianna Wheeler and her mother; Martha Hood; Lois and Landvis Ferm; Julie Ramsdale; and Bill and Beth Morrow.

A graveside services was Tuesday at Marion Cemetery.
