Milford Klaassen, 61, of Hillsboro died Monday at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

He was born Oct. 18, 1951, in Hillsboro to Ted and Rubena (Leppke) Klaassen. He was the owner of JAMM Mowing. He married Janell Schmidt on June 21, 1986, in rural Goessel.

He is survived by his mother, Rubena Bartel of Goessel, and stepfather, Elgin Bartel, both of Goessel; his wife, Janell Klaassen, a son, Michael Klaassen, and a daughter, Angela Klaassen, all of rural Hillsboro; two brothers, Ron Klaassen of Newark, N.J., and Kevin Klaassen of Big Spring, Texas; and two sisters, Loretta Paxton and Diane Ewert, both of Wichita.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro, officiated by Pastor Steve Schroeder.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gnadena Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
