Marion Middle School Wildcats opened the volleyball season Thursday with a triangular at home.
All three teams — A, B, and C — were successful.
“A” team won all of its three matches in two games each. They won, 25-12 and 26-24, in the first match, led by Samantha Davies with 12 points and Abbey Smith with nine.
Top servers in the second match (25-4, 25-10) were Kelli Hess, 18 points; Katey Ehrlich, 12; and Kaelyn Thierolf, eight.
Brandy Cross scored 11 points, Alicia Maloney nine, and Kaitlyn Frese eight in the third match. The team won with identical scores of 25-6.
