MOPS to sponsor races Aug. 11

Mothers of Preschoolers of Marion’s fourth annual Run For Your Momma races will be Aug. 11 at Marion County Park and Lake.

A half marathon and half marathon relay will start simultaneously at 6:30 a.m. A 5-kilometer fun run/walk will start at 8 a.m. A post-race breakfast also will start at 8 a.m. Relay teams in the half marathon will be limited to two runners, each running half the race.

Registration will be accepted on race day, but discounted fees are available to anyone who registers by July 30. Early registrants also will receive a T-shirt, or a Dri-Fit shirt for an extra fee. T-shirts also will be available on race day if supplies last.

Organizer Bethany Carlson said registrations from Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas already have been received.
