Music students headed for state

A large number of Marion High School music students received I ratings Saturday at the regional music festival at Tabor College. They will compete in the state music festival April 27 at Southeast of Saline High School.

Receiving I ratings were vocal soloists Jennifer Fruechting, Isaac Baldwin, Nick Meyer, John Lind, Adam Kjellin, and Shyla Harris; flute soloist Reann Hamm; girls’ ensemble; boys’ ensemble; and Marion Singers.

Students receiving a II rating were vocal soloist Nicholas Davies; clarinet soloist Jennifer Fruechting; trombone soloist John Lind; and alto saxophone soloist Caitlyn Maloney.
