Musical bike ride planned

A musical bike ride through Marion County countryside is planned for 10 a.m. April 4.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at Flint Hills Counterpoint, 1660 90th Rd. Cost, including a box lunch, will be $40 and may be paid at registration.

Riders have their choice of 15- or 30-mile routes. Some roads will be gravel and dirt, but an all-paved route is available as well.

Water, fruit, and musical performances will be available at two stops — one at Copper Shed in Aulne, where Aaron Waddell will perform, and the other at Central Park in Marion, where Possum Revival and Caleb and Brett Klingenberg will perform.

A concert by String Daze, fireside lunch, beer garden, and walk through Flint Hills Counterpoint’s land reclamation site are planned at the finish line.
