Marion High School seniors JayDee Schafers and Ryan Nelson won a forensics state championship in improvised duet acting Saturday at Wichita East High School.

Isaac Baldwin competed in the semifinals, placing in the top 12, in prose and poetry.

Other team members who competed were juniors Nick Meyer, Amanda Stuchlik, and Zach Robson; sophomore Justin Terrel; and freshman Elizabeth Meyer.

All of these students received “I” ratings.
