Former Marion County Record news editor Matt Newhouse of Ankeny, Iowa, has been promoted to Senior Quality Assurance Auditor of Kemin Industries Inc., Des Moines, Iowa.

Newhouse joined the Kemin company in 2003, and has served as Associate Documentation Specialist, Quality Assurance Auditor, and ISO 9001:2000 Management Representative.

He and his wife Cheryl have two children, Catherine and Gregory.
