GOESSEL: No seniors, but 15 sign up for golf

Goessel has no seniors reporting for golf practice but do have a lot of underclassmen on this year’s team.
The varsity experience on this team would have been freshmen in 2019.
“I am expecting the juniors to carry a majority of the varsity spots,” said head coach Chad Lindeman. Three girls are on the golf team with twelve guys.
At most varsity meets, the team will have six players, with the top four players scoring points for the team.
In 2018 and 2019, one Goessel golfer qualified for the state tournament.
With this many players on the team, junior varsity meets will also be a good place to pick up experience.
Goessel will be at Herrington on April 6 and at Hillsboro April 9 for varsity meets to start this season
The junior varsity will have their first competition at Herrington on April 8.
