Nominations open
for conservation award

Sand County Foundation and American Farmland Trust are taking nominations for a conservation award.

The Kansas Leopold Conservation Award recognizes farmers and ranchers who improve soil health, water quality, and wildlife habit.

 The foundation and trust present the award to private landowners in 25 states. In Kansas, the $10,000 award is presented in cooperation with Kansas Association of Conservation Districts and Ranchland Trust of Kansas.
