Norman Benhardt

Graveside services for Norman Dale Benhardt, 77, who died Oct. 13 at Salina Regional Medical Center, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Cemetery, Ramona.

Relatives will gather with friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Yazel-Megli Funeral Home, Herington.

Born May 7, 1948, in Ramona to Ellis and Orvene (Bailey) Benhardt, he attended Kansas State University and served in the Army for four years before going into the Army Reserves in the late 1960s.

He worked as an engineer for the Union Pacific and Santa Fe railroads.

Survivors include children Chad Benhardt of Kingsville, Missouri, and Neely Millbern of Kansas City, Missouri; brother Calvin Benhardt of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

His parents and brother Rodney Benhardt preceded him in death.
