Offense reports released Friday by the Marion County sheriff’s office:
Criminal damage
An estimated $200 damage was done around 9 p.m. July 19 in the 100 block of South Vernon Street in Lehigh to an undisclosed vehicle owned by Kevin Cregg, 49, of Lehigh.
Theft
A .22-caliber Remington rifle valued at $100 was reported stolen between June 30 and July 20 from Kent M. Sterk, 40, of Newton.
The rifle reportedly was taken from a residence in 400 block of 130th Road. The offense report said there was no sign of forced entry.
Aggravated assault
A retiree from Hillsboro reported an argument involving a handgun at 12:21 a.m. July 16 at Cottonwood Point campsite No. 92 at Marion Reservoir.
The offense report indicates that the dispute involved use of a deadly weapon and appeared to be between an intoxicated parent, who was listed as the offender, and a stepchild, who was listed as the victim.
The victim was identified as Scott P. Neufeld, 30, of Hillsboro. The incident reportedly began at 8:30 p.m. A sheriff’s deputy was on the scene from 12:39 a.m. until 1:25 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Criminal trespass
April Nichelle Fore, 24, of Burns, reported that a drunken person trespassed at an unspecified time July 18 at a residence in the 200 block of West Main Street in Burns.
