According to offense reports released Monday:


An unknown suspect forcibly entered a residence in the 200 block of E. 7th St., Florence owned by Charlene Lawrence, 51, Hillsboro, between Sept. 1 and Feb. 20. A Hewlett-Packard computer tower was reported stolen. Sheriff’s deputy Michael Ottensmeier estimated the value of the computer to be $50.

Theft by deception

Myrna Hamm, 52, Tampa, allegedly purchased a fraudulent $299 protection plan Jan. 24. Sheriff’s deputy Wilma Mueller reported computer equipment used in the deceptive transaction.


Criminal damage to property

After an argument allegedly escalated hand in the 100 block of Main St., police arrested Aaron Finney, 34, of Chicago, who reportedly climbed on top of the victim’s 2002 Ford Taurus and jumped up and down, causing an estimated $1,500 of damage to its roof. Police reports said that Finney was allegedly a houseguest at the time of the argument.
