Domestic battery

Rodney Reeves, 48, of Hillsboro, was arrested for allegedly striking a woman in the face during an argument at approximately 5 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of S. Birch St. Reeves also allegedly broke the woman’s cell phone and a table lamp, with a combined value of $400, during the altercation.

Criminal damage to property

Hillsboro Ford reported $2,700 of damage to four vehicles at their dealership between April 16 and April 30. Police reported that the vehicles appeared to have been “keyed while on display.” A 2011 Ford Ranger sustained $1,200 of damage, a 2015 Ford F-150 took $800 of damage, a second 2015 F-150 sustained $400 of damage, and a 2012 Ford Escape took $300 of damage, police estimated.
