According to offense reports released this past week:

SHERIFF

Theft

Debra Schroeder, 59, Canton, reported a theft of a license plate from a vehicle belonging to Russ Chops, 1683 N Alamo St., Canton, between 8 a.m. June 22 and 10 a.m. June 23.

Rape

A rape of a 13 year old victim was reported in the 1400 block of Jade Rd., Hillsboro, at 7:26 a.m. June 21. Drugs and alcohol were suspected in the offense. Trevor Fugitt, 21, Hillsboro, and Dylan Cochran, 19, Marion, were arrested on charges of rape and aggravated endangerment of a child.

Burglary

Ron Jirak, 57, Tampa, reported a burglary from Jirak Produce, located in Tampa, June 1. The offense happened between 10:10 and 11:20 p.m. May 31. $185 worth of gasoline was taken from the site. Undersheriff T. Wilson reported finding signs of forced entry to the temporary structure where the gasoline was stored.

Theft

Anita Bliss-Armstrong, 58, reported theft of a wallet, bank cards, drivers license, and vision cards from her residence in the 500 block of N. Main St., Florence at 2:14 a.m. June 21.

Hillsboro

Criminal threat

Charges of criminal threat are pending against Derrick Laplante, 30, of Hillsboro after a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of N. Jefferson St. resulted in his arrest at 3:55 a.m. July 28.

Furnishing alcohol to a minor

Charges are pending against two Marion men, ages 21 and 19, who were arrested for allegedly furnishing cereal malt beverages to a minor between 3 and 4 p.m. June 20 in the 100 block of Ash St.
