Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving on the right side of roadway required, operate a motor vehicle without a valid license, and defective tail lamp on motor vehicle

After being stopped in the 500 block of S Lincoln St. allegedly for not having a tag light and driving left of center at 9:18 p.m. Saturday, Sabrina Hessel, 22, Hillsboro, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and for driving without a valid license.

Theft

Casey’s General Store reported that an unknown person drove off without paying for $35 of gasoline at 7:45 p.m. May 1 at 314 N. Ash St.

Possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia

Five Hillsboro residents were arrested on multiple drug charges after police executed a search warrant at 6 p.m. May 3 at 703 S. Washington St.

Jose A Ruano, 25, and Micah D. Mashburn, 22, both were arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bruce A Smith, 23, Jonah G. McKee, 23, and Cayla L. Voegeli, 22, each were arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain lane

Mitchell Neuwirth, 28, Marion, was arrested on suspicion of failure to maintain lane and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at 3:10 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of E. Main St. Officer Mike Stone said in his report that Neuwirth had allegedly failed to maintain driving in his correct traffic lane. Upon further investigation, Neuwirth failed a standardized field sobriety test. Stone’s reported indicated that Neuwirth was suspected of using alcohol.
