Driving under the influence

Pulled over for a license plate display violation at 9:19 p.m. Aug. 3 on U.S.-77 near 160th Rd, Ethan Wessel, 28, Marion, was discovered to be transporting nine open containers of beer, according to deputy Derek Calvert’s report. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, transporting open containers of alcohol, and improper license plate display.
