These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:


Criminal damage to property

Danny M. Smith, 21, Derby, reported damage to his sport utility vehicle’s rear window worth $200 between 4 p.m. March 8 and 2:30 p.m. March 9 in the 400 block of S. Adams St.


Mary C. McClure, 70, Hillsboro, reported her bankcard was used to withdraw $200 from an ATM without her permission at 6 p.m. March 10 in the 200 block of N. Main St. She reported a $44 purchase also had been made without permission at 3:37 p.m., and a $12 meal was purchased at 5 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Grand Ave.


Theft of services was reported at 10:20 a.m. in the 900 block of E. D St., where extension cords were plugged into an outlet from an apartment where utilities had been shut off.

Criminal damage to property

Damage worth $900 was reported to a Tabor College building’s interior walls when someone kicked a hole in the panelling between 5 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of S. Jefferson St. According to police reports, the person entered through an attached storage container.


Jeffery T. Johnson, 52, Hillsboro, reported a Stihl backpack sprayer, two Stihl chainsaws, and a right-hand grinder, worth $739 total, stolen between 9 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of W. B St.


Falsely reporting a crime

A report is being sent to Marion County Attorney’s for review for a person suspected of falsely reporting a crime, interfering with law enforcement, and driving while license was canceled, suspended, or revoked between 11:30 p.m. March 10 and 1:10 p.m. March 11 on US-56.


Gene Lanning, 51, Marion, reported a necklace, greeting card, pocketknife, and nail polish, worth $38 total, were stolen between 11:40 and 11:50 a.m. March 11 in the 200 block of E. Main St.


Criminal damage to property

A teenager was reported for suspicion of criminal damage to property for scratching a locker, wall, and bathroom mirror March 9 at Peabody-Burns Middle/High School.
