Burglary
A chain saw, a microscope, 20 DVDs, two gaming consoles, a jack, and other items, together valued at $584, were reported stolen between 7 p.m. Oct. 31 and 7 a.m. Nov. 1 by a burglar who broke into the Alan Steele residence near 190th and Remington Rds.
Theft, criminal damage
Karen K. Nikkel of rural Lehigh reported that a $600 catalytic converter was stolen and two transmission lines sustained $300 in damage between 6 a.m. Nov. 1 and 10:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at an abandoned residence near K-15 and 180th Rd.
HILLSBORO
Theft, criminal damage
Five lug nuts were removed and paint was damaged on a 2014 Jeep Compass that was parked between 11 p.m. Saturday and 2:15 a.m. Sunday in a lot in the 200 block of E. C St.
The owner of the vehicle was listed as Kerrie K. McLean, 52, of Aurora, Colorado. The incident was reported by a student employee of Tabor College.
MARION
Drug possession
Marijuana, methamphetamine residue, and drug paraphernalia reportedly were discovered after Sarah K. Kelley, 31, Marion, was pulled over at 10:16 p.m. Nov. 17 for an unspecified equipment violation in the 400 block of N. Cedar St.
Unspecified probable cause to search the vehicle reportedly was developed during the stop, and a trace of methamphetamine, 3.5 grams of marijuana (enough for as many as 14 cigarettes), and eight items of drug paraphernalia were confiscated.
Kelley was arrested on suspicion of possessing meth, marijuana, and paraphernalia and was booked into Marion County Jail. She was released the next day on $5,000 surety bond.
