These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Burglary

Nearly five dozen pills of an unspecified nature were reported stolen between 3 and 8 a.m. Sept. 20 from a vehicle parked outside Michael S. James’s mobile home in the 600 block of E. Marion Ave. in Goessel.

No signs of forced entry were noted, but James reported $150 in damage to auto parts and accessories.

HILLSBORO

Aggravated domestic battery

An open pocket knife was wielded in a quarrel between Tabor College roommates between 8:40 and 11:08 p.m. Sept. 26.

The student who pressed the knife against his roommate and threatened him said he had been joking. The roommate did not want to press charges. However, Tabor barred the knife-wielding student from the dorm room and later reported that he had left school and returned to his home in Louisiana.

Police submitted a report to the county attorney to decide whether charges should be filed.

Worthless checks

Three worthless checks totaling $150 were received between Aug. 28 and Sept. 6 at Ampride, 135 N. Main St.

Battery

Passenger Justin Moore, 25, who made a comment about how his companion, Shilo Childers, 42, was driving while the two were looking at houses at 8 a.m. Saturday in Hillsboro told police Childers punched him in the face, parked their car, and left on foot.

Police were unable to locate him. Moore later told police Childers’s cell phone indicated he had gone to Hesston.

Police submitted a report to the county attorney to decide whether charges should be filed.
